Newsgroups:

A newsgroup is a discussion about a particular subject consisting of notes written to a central Internet site and redistributed through Usenet, a worldwide network of news discussion groups. You can find newsgroups in the Independent, BBC news, The Guardian and more.

In order to comment, reply or create a discussion on the site you must first create an account on the site. Once you have registered, you look for an article that catches your eye. At the top of the page you have topics you can look through if you do not find anything interesting on ‘Top Stories’.

Pick an article with an interesting or eye catching title and read through it before commenting on the article.

If you have any comments to make about the article, go down to the bottom of the article where you will find the comment section. Fill in the comment box and post your comment and you will get a notification if anyone comments or likes your post. If you look bellow your comment, you will find many comments depending how new or old the article is. You will find that some posts have multiple replies, creating a discussion on the news site.
