What is it?
The world wide web, also known as ‘www’ or ‘the web’ is a system of webpages/interlinked hypertext documents found on a network of computers. The documents are formatted in a markup language called HTML, also known as HyperText Markup Language, that support links to other documents, graphics, audio and video files. By clicking on hotspots, it allows you to jump from one document to the other. For example, when you go on Google and type in YouTube it will bring you to a page with a list of documents containing data about YouTube. You then click on the first link that is listed as it is the link to the site which takes you to a new document, a.k.a. YouTube. However, not all internet services are part of the Worldwide Web.
Does your URL use it?
My WordPress site does not use ‘www’ as is uses the prefix ‘https’ instead as it is a redirect of WordPress.
