What is it?
Voiceover Internet Protocol, also known as VoIP, is a phone service over the internet that allows you to make voice calls using broadband internet service rather than a phone line. For example, when you click on the person you want to message on Facebook you can also voice call them to speak with them.
How does it work?
Voiceover Internet Protocol services transmits your voice into a digital signal that travels over the internet.
I find VoIP extremely useful as it allows me to speak to relatives through apps like Skype and video or voice call relatives from another country for free. However, having bad connection can effect our calls and make the call hard to hear.
